"The School Games, which is funded by Sport England and delivered by the Youth Sport Trust, involves funded School Games Organisers (SGOs) at a local level and Local Organising Committees (LOCs) at a county level working alongside us to create an annual calendar of competition."
As a school we are part of the School Games and carry out competitions in line with this.
School games give children and young people the opportunity to lead and manage not only one another but also the staff members at school.
At Hopton we give children the opportunity to lead and manage during PE lessons.
Year 5 have the opportunity to manage each other and the rest of school by creating games and activities for children to access during their lunchtimes.
We also allow children to create their own games and activities during PE sessions, sports day and sponsored races.
Children also blog about their sporting experiences on our website.
