Strictly Mirfield and Strictly Pennine

Charlotte - Foundation 2

"The best bit was smiling at everybody. I loved taking a bow at the end. It made me feel special. I loved being with my friends."

Neve - Foundation 2

“I thought it was beautiful and I loved all of it. I loved my hair bow and my curls and my beautiful skirt.”

Maya - Foundation 2

"I like doing the dance show because I liked to lay on the floor and kick my legs and shout Hey Mickey. I liked to point my hand and wiggle my hips. I also liked to wear a tutu and a rainbow bow in my hair."

Poppy - Foundation 2

"I really enjoyed the sunshine dance move. I loved my rainbow bow and skirt. I liked the bright lights of the stage and all of the clapping when we finished. I enjoyed being with all my friends and going to Huddersfield."

George - Foundation 2

"I thought the dance show was good. I like dancing. I liked when my Mum, Dad and brother watched me. My favourite part was when everybody clapped at the end. I want to do it again."

Felix - Foundation 2

"Felix really enjoyed practising every week and loved being on stage when it came to the actual show 'everyone was looking at me and we did a bow.'"

Samuel - Foundation 2

"It made me feel nervous but excited. I enjoyed it a lot. It was lots of fun."

Lily-Mae - Foundation 2

"I like Nana, Grandad, Mummy and Daddy coming to see me at hey mickey show. I was having so much fun and I really liked going on my tummy moving my head and kicking my legs."

Erin - Year 6

"I found it a great experience. The teachers cheered us all on and we all worked really hard to perform a great routine."

Mollie - Year 3

"It was scary but exciting. I loved it especially the dance coach Georgia. I was just amazed how well we did. It was such fun with all the teachers support."

Avah - Year 5

"We had a dance teacher (Georgia) who taught us the dance for Strictly Pennine/Mirfield. The dance we did was to the song Sax by Fleur East, a song I had never heard before. Sax is a very fast song, therefore the dance was quite tricky but we all got there in the end.

At Strictly Mirfield it was quite nerve racking because it was the first time performing in front of a crowd but it was still fun. But at Strictly Pennine when we were performing I couldn't see the crown, only the lights on the seats so I was not that nervous."

Eleanor - Year 3

"Though I felt nervous I was enjoying myself and I really loved it. I would love to compete next year or whenever I can have the opportunity.

My favourite part of it was making new friends and dancing because I absolutely love dancing!"
