Visions and Values

Our visions and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.

We have established expected behaviour and conduct in school, which our children adhere to, both in the classroom and outside.

We have based these expectations on our Golden Rules.  These are six principles we support the children to achieve, to ensure we have a school in which we can all feel safe and secure whilst facing the challenges of learning.  Our Golden Rules are:

Be Honest

Listen Carefully

Look After Property

Be Kind and Helpful

Be Gentle

Work Hard

These are simple principles, but ones which the children respond to well.  They are added to by our lunchtime rules which the children helped to formulate.  Our Lunchtime Rules are:

Line up calmly in the playground and the hall

Eat your lunch sensibly and allow others to do the same

Be polite and show respect to all staff and pupils

After lunch, walk quietly through the school to the playground

Play outside safely and fairly

Be a good example to other children
