Government Guidance
Below is a summary guide for parents/carers and guardians from the DFE regarding the RSHE curriculum. There is also the full RSHE guidance from the DFE for all schools, you are not expected to read this in full although you can if you wish. The Frequently Asked Questions link from the DFE is useful as you may have questions that have already been answered.
At Hopton our RSHE curriculum is embedded into our Personal, Social, Health, Economic and Citizenship curriculum. We currently follow the recommended units from the PSHE Association and follow their progression ladders. We use and adapt resources including videos, PowerPoint presentations, activity sheets, group activities, and independent tasks from Twinkl, Kapow and create a lot of own resources.
Below is an outline of all our PSHE & RSHE units of work and learning objectives from Y1 to Y6.
There is also the Personal, Social and Emotional Development curriculum from Early Years.
Thank you to all the parents who completed the parent consultation form. The results of which have now been considered and the RSHE policy drafted.
