Welcome to Year 1 & Year 2!
A very warm welcome to our Year 1 and Year 2 families! We are delighted to have you join us for another exciting year of learning, discovery and growth.
Our teachers are Miss Mistry, Mr Asbery and Mrs Beck, who will be supporting the children in the absence of Miss Riaz.
In Years 1 and 2, we aim to create a happy, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, confident and excited to learn. We encourage our children to be curious, independent and resilient as they develop new skills and build on everything they have already learned.
Throughout the year, the children will have lots of opportunities to explore, ask questions, be creative and work together. We will celebrate their achievements, encourage them to challenge themselves and support them every step of the way.
We look forward to working closely with you and your children and making this a wonderful and memorable year!
Welcome to our Year 1 and Year 2 family!
Please ensure that your child comes to school wearing their correct PE kit on their allocated PE days. We will have one PE lesson outdoors and one lesson indoors each week, so children should be prepared for both.
PE Days:
️ Sun Class: Monday and Tuesday
Milky Way Class: Tuesday and Wednesday
Galaxy Class: Tuesday and Thursday
Correct PE ClothingThese measures help us to keep all children safe, comfortable and ready to participate fully in their PE lessons.
Water BottlesPlease ensure that your child brings a filled water bottle to school each morning.
To help us maintain good hygiene and keep the school day running smoothly:
Playtime SnacksChildren are welcome to have a fruit-based snack at playtime.
The school provides a snack for children to enjoy. However, children may also bring their own fruit-based snack from home if they prefer.
If your child is bringing a snack from home, please ensure that it is placed in their drawer when they arrive at school in the morning.
Please remember that snacks should be fruit-based and suitable for eating independently at playtime.
Lost Property & Personal BelongingsPlease ensure that all of your child’s belongings are clearly labelled with their name, including school uniform, PE kit, coats, water bottles and other personal items.
We encourage children to take responsibility for their own belongings and to look after and keep track of their things throughout the school day.
If an item is lost, children should first check the appropriate areas themselves. Teachers will not be expected to search for or find lost belongings on behalf of children.
Please label all items clearly to help us return any lost property to its owner.
Thank you for your support in helping your child develop independence and responsibility for their belongings
