This week we are continuing with fractions. I'd like you to have a go at the following games to start the week.
Build a fraction: Drag the correct size fraction from the bottom of the screen to the middle, it should match one from the right hand side, you have drag it across to the matching one. It will tell you if you have got it correct or not. Move up through the levels.
Match the cake game- Match the cake to the correct fraction and then write the fraction.
Counting in fractions
Have a look at the activity, think carefully about counting up in fractions, remember when you get to 4/4 that is the same as one whole so the next number would be 5/4 ( this is called an improper fraction)which can also be written as a mixed number 1 1/4 (1 whole one and one quarter). Have a go at the questions they get harder as they go along, do as much as you feel you can. The answers are included.
Please spend the rest of the week practising all your times tables and division facts. Play some of the games below. It will really help with your understanding of fractions that we are going to come back to in a week or two.
