EYFS New Framework and the Reception Baseline Assessment

RSHE 20-21

As a part of your child’s educational experience at Hopton Primary, we aim to promote personal wellbeing and development through a comprehensive taught programme of Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education that gives children and young people the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live healthy, safe, productive and fulfilled lives, both now and in the future.
The Department for Education has made changes to relationships and sex education following nationwide consultation which came into effect from September 2020 and all schools are required to comply with the updated requirements.

Below is some key information and guidance from the DFE regarding the teaching of RSHE in schools. At Hopton we are currently working through the guidance and implementing the changes where needed.

The DFE has also produced a guide for parents which summaries the key changes.

In this area you will be able to access the curricular requirements for Foundation, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

The Curriculum overview for 2017 to 2018 contains all of the subject areas except for maths and English.  Further information on these subjects can be found by clicking on the EYFS and National Curriculum links below.

The Year Group Booklets will also give you information on the curriculum.
